Big D`s Downtown Dive in Roswell

Service was good! Not a long wait. Granted, we were there at opening. Good Cuban! My kid loved the chicken strips! Thanks for a good experience!

BEST BURGERS EVER!!! When visiting Roswell, not much to do here and we needed to eat. Found this place and were happy we did!! Burgers were out of this world!! And the garlic fries...OMG!! A-MAZING!! The decor was fun and the staff were excellent!! The only reason I would come back to Roswell, would be to eat here!!

DELICIOUS food! Warm welcome from everyone and loved that they let our visiting family of 8 sit together without any issues!!! I 100% recommend this place!

Surprisingly good. It was recommended to us by one of the store owners that we visited and was totally worth it. I had the the green Chile cheesesteak and it was one of the best I ever had. The service wasn't perfect but when a mistake was made they more than made up for it. Several in our group had the Monte Cristo and every one of them loved it. Bottled root beer and cream soda makes for a refreshing drink to wash it down with.

Good food and nice atmosphere! I ordered the West Coast Taco and it was delicious. Friendly service too!

Burger was very greasy and kinda rare in the center. I threw it in the dumpster out back behind the restaurant. Won't be going back. They're breaking the health order by serving indoors too. I'll be informing the governor about that.

This dive burger joint is real authentic American food! I highly recommend, there fries are all awesome also!

We are from out of state and went to the UFO museum prior to eating here. The lady in the gift shop recommended Big D's and we were definitely NOT disappointed. The portions were HUGE and tasted delicious!

Nice local joint with a down home feel. The employees were friendly, helpful, and available to answer questions about the eclectic menu. The food was made to order and came to us at a great temperature. The fries (we tried all three: regular, garlic, and sweet potato) were hot and crispy. The burgers were also great. The Monte Cristo was a little more greasy than I would have liked, but delicious nonetheless. Parking is terrible. They know it. They even have shirts we saw one employee wearing that said, “Great food! Sh!tty parking!” That about sums it up.

Monster fries are phenomenal and burger was good but they didn't have any much needed adult beverages. Annnnd... immediately after eating here I thought I was going to crash land a "big D" in my pants in one of the goofy alien tourist shops. If I would have it would have been totally worth it.

Googled best restaurant in Roswell and Big D’s popped up! We were not disappointed. The restaurant was clean and appealing to the eye, and the counter service staff was quick and friendly. The food arrived and was beautiful to the eye and to the taste. And the restrooms were clean! And the music was great too! Great find!

This place was amazing 20 out of 10 would recommend to anybody who likes to eat. Monster fries are the best but everything here wont disappoint you.

Online they had a few different menus, they only had a small offering inside, none of the menus posted.....

Salads are very small for how much you pay, and there’s too much dressing. Ask for your dressing on the side. Tasty and greasy burger, as you’d expect. The garlic fries are loaded with delicious freshly chopped garlic and the portion is generous. Come here for burgers and fries and you’ll be satisfied.

The cheese steak sandwich to die for! And on weds 2 for $12.00 u just can't say no to that... The garlic fries delicious and even the regular ones are good too.. And last the cookies! OMG so good... The food is fresh very pleased with their service and food...

One of the most delicious Cuban sandwiches I’ve ever tasted! Well worth the 25 minute wait we endured. Hamburgers were very tasty too and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I think they double fry them to get them like that.

The best bite in Roswell since 4 years, taste is consistent and never change, if really hungry try the cheese steak sandwich and double the meet, this will take you a trip of satisfaction, fries are delicious. Staff are very friendly and kind. Just watch the cook doing your steak on the grill you will get the impression that he is cooking especially for you, great job guys

One of the best places we ate at while in New Mexico. Huge servings. We had the Cuban, Big Boy, and cheese steaks with plenty left over. It looked so good and we were so hungry I didn't even remember to take any pictures! The cashier there was also the sweetest thing too! Head over after the UFO Museum and you won't be disappointed!

Not impressed at all. Pretty disappointing really. Got there and no kid menu. So we ordered chicken tenders (3 for $11) but they were out. It was fast food service with dine in restaurant prices. The water was “infused” and barely drinkable. Ice was just out in a bucket on the counter near the water. Tea was not good but we are from Texas so maybe we are spoiled. Cleanliness was not that great. I wouldn’t recommend but maybe we got there on a bad day. I do know that the people eating next to us were very unhappy with what they ordered as well. My burger was decent but not worth $13. Garlic fries were decent. Monte Cristo was good.

Delicious food but a bit pricey, and the lady at the counter was very rude to a group next to us. Instead of politely asking them to leave due to no eating allowed inside, she smuggly remarked that they should have seen the huge sign and ordered them to leave - not necessary and rude, even though it didn’t happen to us - Not great customer service

It's OK, funky uncommon options are the main attraction. Heads up though, ever since they changed cooks all of the burgers come out rare. It wasnt like this before. You have to tell them how you want it otherwise you're getting raw meat.

We've been here several times and will keep coming back. Always great. We usually have the Texas Burger, l ate the Mexican Ripper one time and it was excellent. The soup of the day is always good.

The burgers are just so good. Even though the menu is reduced because of covid-19, the quality is still the same. Staff is friendly and there's an unmistakable homey feeling you get when eating here. 10/10

Absolutely the best burger joint in Roswell! Come in and try out a steak sandwich or the famous burgers. If you're from out of town I recommend this place over all the others.

Our second visit was as good as the first. We had the all American burgers, and they were delicious. The fries were perfectly done, and the service was great.

Friendly staff. Good food. Dive bar feel. If ever in these parts and craving a burger/grill chicken sandwich will def stop by. Asian wings were delish as well.

We travel here from Corpus Christi, TX twice a year for the best Texas Burger outside of Texas and it's packed with flavor! The ambience is great! The Mexican Ripper is awesome too! Love this place!

Great food: burgers, fries, cheese steaks, etc. The green chile cheese steak was fantastic! As were the sweet potato fries. I would give 5 stars, but one of the ladies who took our order was a bit rude. Oh, well. At least the food was fantastic.

Was recommended this place and SO glad that I was. Parking is almost 100% guaranteed to involve a walk--other than three or four spots directly to the side of the restaurant, everything else in the lot is claimed by the bus station or other businesses near by--and posted as such. So, drive around the block until you find street parking and walk back. I ordered a BBQ burger (I forget the actual name) and garlic fries. Both were spectacular--actual grilled garlic on the fries! I don't have occasion to be in Roswell very often, but when I am, I will definitely be back.

This has to be one of my favorite places now. Although I live hours and hours away from Roswell, this is one of my favorite experiences I've had. The restaurant is very cozy and the staff make you feel like family. I had gotten the cheese steak, and I've had cheese steaks from all kinds of places. And I've got to say, this is one of the best cheese steaks I've had. The prices are very reasonable and you get quite a bit of food for what you pay for. Highly recommended!

Got some monster fries to go and split them as a meal with my wife. The cheese, green chili, and bacon is addictive. I think this is best eaten with a fork and if you put an egg on it I would eat it for breakfast. Would have loved to try a burger. They look so good but we just didn’t need one. If I am ever in town again I will make this a destination to hit.

Definitely a hidden gem. So much food! I got the Cuban with garlic fries. It was so good.. The sandwich was humongous. I only ate half, even the waiter questioned my ability to finish it. Man that sandwich was packed with meat. It was yummy. Beware of Garlic breath from the garlic fries for 12 hours. Lol. But it was so good, couldn't put it down. The best part?? PRICE! So much food for your money. Definitely going back if/when I have to drive through Roswell. Service was great, location is pretty decent, lots of parking. Don't expect a nice classy place, it's a dive type of place and it's the best!

Sooo good!! A great seat yourself diner with delicious food, great staff, and the cutest decor. You will not be disappointed! (Unless you're looking for sweet sweet tea because you're from the south 🤷🏻‍♀️)
